 Tehri
Garhwal with its lofty mountains and turbulent rivers
is an excellent site for trekking, mountaineering,
and water sports like river rafting and cannoing.
The sacred river Ganga and its tributaries Alaknanda
and Bhagirathi, meeting at Deo Prayag, offer one of
the greatest and most challenging adventures in the
form of white water river rafting. Down river from
Deo Prayag, the Ganga transforms into a pool drop
river. This stretch is about 70 km from Rishikesh
and virtually offers an exciting adventure to the
amatuer and the novice. GMVN conducts river rafting
courses at Kaudiyala. |
